On 19-22 January, over 40 of Latymer’s staff, from all departments including a group of sixth formers, gathered to bring one of Latymer’s biggest events to life – the Staff Panto! The audience joined Aladdin on his magic carpet ride as he tried to win the heart of the beautiful princess Jasmin. A love story full of laughter and plenty of wonders to keep the audience on their toes. Many were surprised by Mr Goldsmith’s (Genie) wonderful voice, demanding lessons to be delivered in song, while others were bursting into laughter during Mr Forbes’ hilarious performance as Widow Twanky.
Over 800 members from the Latymer community came to show their support over the 4 nights and together £13,550 was raised for the Latymer Upper School Bursaries Appeal including £250 for RAIS£ (our student-led fundraising club), through the sale of sweet bags. Thanks to everyone involved and to our wonderful audience – we look forward to seeing you all again in 2024 for the next Pantomime!
