Graham Bearman Bursary

Following the passing of Graham Bearman, former Head of History, we have created this Sixth Form bursary in his honour.

Graham, a Latymer legend, joined our community in 1963 and dedicated 43 years to teaching Latymerians until his retirement in 2006. Throughout his tenure, Graham’s passion for history, politics, rugby and cricket, his unwavering commitment to education, and his genuine care for each student made him one of our most inspiring and influential teachers.

Latymer’s bursary programme was another of Graham’s passions, and he occasionally returned to the school after his retirement to lend his time and wisdom to the Latymer Foundation.  His insight and compassion helped to shape the Bursaries Appeal into the community effort that it is now.

Following the news of his passing, we have been moved by the outpouring of love and respect for Graham. His profound impact as an inspirational teacher, colleague and loyal friend has been felt deeply by us all.

Honouring Graham’s remarkable legacy, we have created the Graham Bearman Sixth Form Bursary to support a student studying politics or history at A Level.
