Following the passing of Graham Bearman, former Head of History, we have created this Sixth Form bursary in his honour.

Graham, a Latymer legend, joined our community in 1963 and dedicated 43 years to teaching Latymerians until his retirement in 2006. Throughout his tenure, Graham’s passion for history, politics, rugby and cricket, his unwavering commitment to education, and his genuine care for each student made him one of our most inspiring and influential teachers.
Latymer’s bursary programme was another of Graham’s passions, and he occasionally returned to the school after his retirement to lend his time and wisdom to the Latymer Foundation. His insight and compassion helped to shape the Bursaries Appeal into the community effort that it is now.
Graham’s Legacy – Your Impact
In memory of Graham, an extraordinary opportunity has emerged to transform a student’s life through education. Two of Graham’s former students have made an incredibly generous pledge: they will match every donation made up to £10,000 until 18 April 2025, creating a powerful moment of collective support for future Latymer students.
This means your donation will be tripled! For example, your £50 becomes £150. If we meet the £10,000 goal, we have the potential to raise £30,000 for the Graham Bearman Bursary. Every contribution, of any size, helps to provide funding for a brilliant young mind join Latymer’s Sixth Form to study history or politics at A Level.
This is more than a financial contribution; it is a commitment to continuing Graham’s legacy of nurturing potential, breaking down barriers, and investing in the next generation of exceptional students.
Please consider taking advantage of this special opportunity and making a gift today.
