This 2024-2025 school year, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Prep Bursary Fund. Thanks to the incredible support of the Latymer community, we have been able to raise over £650,000 since the Prep Bursary Fund was established, as part of our overarching Inspiring Minds campaign, and have provided financial support to many young children entering the Latymer Prep School.

However, we have seen the need for financial assistance continue to grow with applications last year at their highest levels.

We want to respond to this growing need by increasing the amount of financial support we can provide and we are relying on the Latymer community to help us do this. Your support is needed now more than ever.

Your gift will go directly to funding the education of a promising child with limited financial means, so they can fulfil their potential.

Please join our community fundraising effort to help raise enough money to fund a full bursary for at least one bright and ambitious student to join Latymer Prep next September.

Prep Community and Challenge Events

The pupils in the Prep School are often our best ambassadors. Every other year, they participate in a Swimathon or the Grow a Fiver initiative to raise money for the Prep Bursary Fund. We are so proud of their commitment and enthusiasm, virtues that reflect Latymer’s socially responsible ethos.

Swimathon

Our pupils take part in a biennial sponsored Swimathon, putting their swimming skills to the test and working towards the shared goal of raising money for the Prep Bursary Fund.

This year, the Swimathon will start on Monday 17 March, 2025. During this week, students will swim as many lengths as possible in their scheduled class time. The event will end with a celebratory party combined with our annual Bonnet Parade on Friday 21 March in the Prep Garden.

The goal this year is to collectively swim 7,000 lengths and raise over £16,000!

Grow a Fiver

Grow a Fiver is an exercise in enterprise and entrepreneurship. Our pupils come together in teams to found their own business with £5 seed money and host a market to sell their products to the school community. While they learn real life business skills and team work, they also generously donate their proceeds to the Prep Bursary Fund.

In 2024 they raised over £4,500!
